It is never too late to start a yoga practice.
Yoga is for every age and stage of your life, whether you want to maintain your good health or recover from an injury. Even if you have a limiting health condition or just need some help slowing down and relaxing, yoga is for you!
Active Gentle - This hour long class will focus on breathing techniques, beginner poses with advancing variations and options to take your practice deeper. This class is great for beginners looking for that next step and established yogis looking for a relaxing practice. Suitable for all levels.
Beginner/Gentle – This hour long slow paced class will focus on breathing techniques, beginner poses and advanced beginner poses. This class is great for beginners and established yogis looking for a relaxing practice. Suitable for all levels.
Creative Movement for Kids – Children love to move and yoga is a great way to do it. This participatory class demonstrates strategies that can integrate movement – children’s natural language – with movement. We use song, storytelling, music, poetry, and props to explore how kinesthetic techniques provide a springboard for developing body and group awareness, self-esteem, creativity, and fosters a sense of kindness and cooperation in the classroom.
Detox Flow – A gently heated Slow Flow class with an emphasis on cleansing breaths and detoxifying twist. Suitable for all levels.
Flow – Starting with gentle postures to warm up the body. Then transitioning into warrior postures, holding each pose a little bit longer, feeling the full effect, before flowing through a Vinyasa. Great for lower body conditioning while increasing personal empowerment. Finishing up with a cool down before Savasana. Suitable for all levels.
Gentle Beginners Yoga – Thai Yoga is a deeply relaxing form of bodywork that blends yoga Asana and traditional Thai therapy. This unique approach to energy balancing helps to harmonize the energy flow throughout the body. Suitable for all levels.
Gentle Restorative – The same focus on breathwork and calming postures as a Gentle/Beginner class but with some meditative holds and focus of a Restorative class mixed in for a truly blissful experience.
Hatha Yoga - This hour long energy class features a variety of poses linked to the breath. You'll alternate getting your heart rate up with a few sun salutation flows, then slow down with long holds so you can feel some awareness. Modifications for all levels.
Yoga for Healthy Aging -Good for midlife and older beginners!
Yoga is not just for the young and flexible! Anyone can reap the life enhancing benefits of this practice. This gentle Hatha yoga class incorporates breath work and meditation along with the physical practice. We focus on poses to strengthen your balance and posture along with increasing your flexibility and energy level. Props such as blocks, straps, blankets and chairs are included to help maximize the benefits of your physical practice.With regular practice, yoga will help improve the quality of your life and health in midlife and beyond!
Hip/Core Yoga - This hour long moderately paced class focuses on strengthening the abdominal muscles and lower back and opening the hips. A variety of sitting and standing poses are done, with the possibly of an introduction to inversions. Suitable for all levels.
Hip Openers - Long, slow holds in postures to open the fascia (connective tissue) of the hips and shoulders. Props are used when necessary to allow the student to relax fully. Suitable for all levels.
Joyful Yoga -Many of us feel extra stress at this time of year due to an increase in our busy schedules, work and family obligations, holiday parties. Through this yoga practise , you can find your joy again. It will include meditation and playful asana practice that will encourage feelings of abundance & joy.
Mellow Morning Mix – A tranquil class focusing on surrender and mediation by mixing the postures of three easy styles – gentle, yin and restorative.
Open Level Vinyasa - Flow through standing postures connecting each one through the breath. Unite with the heart of yoga, tap into the true essence of the practice, and dance through the postures! A variety of postures will be explored in each class. Suitable for all levels.
Prenatal Yoga -Your body is a miracle and it has given you a wonderful gift. Celebrate that gift with the nurturing power of yoga. Prenatal yoga is a safe, gentle class in which the traditional yoga postures are practiced with modifications for the needs of the expectant mother. Your body will be going through many changes throughout your pregnancy. We will focus on building strength, flexibility and breathing techniques to assist you in preparing your body and mind for the birth of your baby and the journey into motherhood.
Restorative – Our most gentle class. Fall into yoga’s most meditative space while stretching deeply and opening fully. Truly letting go and surrendering into each Asana. Simple supported postures held for a long duration of time. Suitable for all levels.
Slow Flow - This hour long Vinyasa class features sitting poses, standing poses, spinal twists and more. Find your edge and work each muscle group. Some prior yoga experience is suggested.
Sunrise Flow - Begin the day invigorating the body and calming the mind. This moderate practice includes sun salutations, breath work and gentle postures to balance, stretch and strengthen the body. Suitable for all levels.
Tween Yoga (9-13) discover techniques through yoga that will help them navigate this terrain. Using yoga postures to build inner and outer strength and flexibility are the main focus of this series.
Vinyasa – Flow through standing postures connecting each one through the breath. Unite with the heart of yoga, tap into the true essence of the practice, and dance through the postures! A variety of postures will be explored in each class. Some prior yoga experience is suggested.
All classes will be adjusted for the current students at any given time. Modifications will always be offered. Remember…yoga is not a competition. What you can or can not do is perfectly fine; you will be exactly where you are supposed to be at that moment.
